In the first six weeks after launch, Jollyes customers bought over 12,000 BillyChips. These can be exchanged for cans of dog food for those who are homeless and have a pet, or used by individuals in participating cafes and restaurants in exchange for a hot drink or meal.

With the help from Century Motorsport BillyChip reached an international audience in January 2024. BillyChip were given the opportunity to feature on all Century motorsport cars for the Dubai 24hrs Hankook Tyre Race.

Space NK has picked BillyChip as one of their charities of the year! Put forward by the manager of the Bath store, who is also a close family friend, and had known Billy since he was born. Space NK has been raising money through their sample sale. 

The collaboration shows that no matter where in the country you are homeless there is always an issue and even companies that are focused on the Beauty sector, understand the importance of everybody being seen no matter what their background is, or where they come from.

We are proud to announce that Jollyes will become BillyChip’s first partner outside of the food and services sector and the first business in Northern Ireland to offer this innovative street currency.

Beginning in March 2024, BillyChip and Jollyes will donate dog food using both the value of the BillyChip tokens purchased by customers with Jollyes doubling the size of the donation.

This December saw the first of many Billboards made live in Bristol city centre.

With the help from JCDecaux's Community Channel, we are bringing our message to thousands of new supporters helping spread awareness in the lead up to Christmas.

Our advertisement will be live throughout Broadmead, showcasing on bus stops as well as on Billboards close to Temple meads. 

On Monday 27th November, the BillyChip team spent a night sleeping outdoors, experiencing a small fraction of the hardships faced by those who are homeless every day.

The aim was to raise both awareness and funds to combat homelessness and provide vital support to those in need.

This weekend saw the royal lancers complete David Goggins 100 miles in 100 hours challenge, all in aid of raising money for BillyChip!

Military skills competitions, an auction and a soldier running for 24 hours continuously were also in aid of raising money and awareness!

By the end of this inspirational challenge the 26 competitors raised a total of £6,050 for billychip which is enough to feed 3,000 homeless people.

ValleyFest 2023 welcomed back BillyChip for their second attendance in 2 years. However, this year BillyChip welcomed the Koffmann x BillyChip Chip van.

Amonst the talenetd line up, BillyChip were gifted a slot which saw Megan (CEO) present the BillyChip talk to the thousands of festivalgoers.

We have been approached by many businesses in the construction industry asking how they can best support the ever-increasing number of homeless people they see around their sites.

This month, we have launched a new initiative, The BillyChip HSE Charter, with the help of Constructing Excellence South-West, Southern Construction Framework and Morgan Sindall.

After a really successful month-long trial of the BillyChip HSE charter with Morgan Sindall, we fed over 200 people in the midlands through our partnership with Central Co-op Supermarkets and recorded over 400 Health, Safety & Environmental observations. Encouraging better reporting onsite saves lives, money, the environment, and now through signing up to our charter, we can help your local community too!.

The Constructing Excellence South West awrds 2023 (CESW) saw BillyChip as their supporting chairty. Whilst raising money and spreading awarness through out the night we were gifted a slot which saw Megan (CEO) present the BillyChip talk. During Megans speech, the BillyChip HSE charter was launched.

BillyChip launched BillyChip Live at this year’s Glastonbury Festival from 21st to 25th June. The official launch took place in The Common, where BillyChip Live showcased DJs such as SubFocus, Harriet Jaxxon, Ama and many more.

The Bath & West show 2023 saw the launch of the Koffmann x BillyChip Chip van!

With the help of The Foodheroes, Koffmann family and Full circles together they created a chip van with a difference, using potatoes from Koffmann’s range to create gourmet chips with mouth-watering toppings, while raising awareness and funds for the cause.

On Sunday 14th May 2023 BillyChip and the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run created a partnership to raise funds and awareness.

BillyChip partnership with the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run included our marquee in the event village promoting our work and the BillyChip logo appeared on all runners’ numbers. We also had a  team of runners which took part in the event to raise funds for BillyChip.

BillyChip® was introduced across all 250+ Central Co-op food stores in March 2023, allowing customers to spread kindness to those in need with a simple gift.

The simple act of giving a chip allows someone to redeem the chip for a hot or cold drink of their choice at any Central Co-op store. Two chips can be redeemed for a meal deal in-store as well, including a snack, main, and a drink.  

April 2023 saw the reveal of the BillyChip x The Foodheroes truck. With the help of The Foodheroes and Full circles together they created a truck with a difference, helping raise awareness of BillyChip scheme. 

BillyChip launched in Swansea in March 2023. It was brought to the city by the Swansea BID team, who stated they were thrilled that Swansea is the first city in Wales to partner with the BillyChip® scheme.
